The first poly tunnel goes up!

The first poly tunnel is is now up and even has a name! It’s been a bit of a learning curve and not without a little blood, sweat and tears but Digby (the poly tunnel) is finally alive! Having little to no experience in the scientific field of poly tunnel erecting made it a bit of a slow burn project to start with, but we got by with a little help from our friends!

Digby now holds a wildlife pond and 42 raised beds. Nearly all of the beds are full of winter crops which are coming along nicely.

Now our growing season has been extended which means we can grow food earlier and later in the seasons. Digby is the first of four poly tunnels we plan to setup and now we have the experience, we will be quicker setting up the yet-to-be-named second poly tunnel with the other two to follow.
