About this event

Every wreath tells a story…

We will begin the day foraging the land for materials to create your wreath base. As we return to the barn to work together to create these, we will focus on what it is you want to weave into your life, more love, balance, joy, abundance? You can choose other materials to weave in to the base structure and if you want to, you can bring some of your own material with you, perhaps a piece of a T-shirt of a loved one or a treasured piece of ribbon.

After lunch you will have a chance to ponder on what it is you have been focusing on as you then forage again for treasures to decorate your wreath with. Some berries perhaps, or grasses, flowers, herbs, feathers. Whatever your intuition guides you to collect as you wander on the land.

You can then begin to decorate your wreath with the nature offerings you have collected along with some dried flowers from the barn. As you come to the end of your decorating we can – if you choose to – chat through what you have created and what your intuition and wisdom may be telling you through your creation. Every wreath created really does tell a story…

You do not need any practical experience for this workshop, just a pair of hands and an open heart and mind.

Provided –

  • All materials.
  • Tea, coffee, herbal tea, water and biscuits.

Bring with you –

  • Please wear long trousers and sturdy boots, the land is uneven in places with some nettles and brambles.
  • We will be inside and outside so layers and a waterproof coat are helpful.
  • We will be foraging for brambles as the main structure of your wreath so a pair of thick gloves and if you have them, a pair of secateurs (we do have spare gloves and secateurs here if you do not have them).
  • A note pad and pen.
  • Lunch (there are shops within 10 mins driving distance).
  • If you wish to bring some of your own material, perhaps in memory of a loved one, please only bring anything you are happy to cut and use.
